Fairview’s Transitional Housing Ministry got its start in 1999 and is named for the late Reverend James Lippincott. This program’s purpose is to assist working homeless families to obtain low-cost rental housing and then graduate to the point of independent living. By providing spiritual guidance, financial aid and practical resources, we are able to share the Gospel and help those within our churches and community.
Once an application has been submitted to the Housing committee, there is a review process and criminal background check. If all of the eligibility requirements are met, Fairview uses a sliding payment schedule over one year to transition the approved family from homelessness to self-sufficient living.
Many have benefited from this ministry by either securing housing or maintaining their existing residence. For those in need, applications are available in the church office or by clicking here. |
